How We Review Products

Our overall ratings factor in qualitative & quantitative insights from heavy research and real-world usage.

Writers & Sources

Though we publish many types of content, for each, the author(s) is always an authority. Either through personal experience, professional training, academic background, etc.

At the time of this writing, however, Nick Urban has personally written every article that’s been published on Outliyr.

The nature of each article will determine the extent of sourcing and scientific reference. Personal experience articles, for example, will usually contain fewer (or zero) references than scientific guides.

Wherever possible, we strive to include the original research rather than a news article.

Artificial Intelligence Policy

At Outliyr, we aim to provide the highest quality content produced for humans, by humans. When we do use AI, it’s to guide our research and give us new ideas. We believe in doing the work required of writers & editors to publish informative and authoritative articles. This includes rigorous reporting, quality research, and real-world testing.

Then showing our work so that you, the reader, recognize that you’ve come to a trustworthy source. Our guidelines prohibit publishing automatically generated content using AI (artificial intelligence) and/or writing tools such as ChatGPT.
