Ergothioneine Supplement

L-Ergothioneine is an amino acid super antioxidant under consideration for status as a new vitamin. It’s widely considered superior to classic antioxidants like Vitamin C, Vitamin E, CoQ10, and Glutathione. This rare ingredient is found primarily in mushrooms. It’s an incredibly potent antioxidant due to its stability. Ergothioneine quickly scavenges and neutralizes free radicals and reverts into its usable original form again.

Ergothioneine is an antioxidant with a number of potential benefits including cognition, mitochondrial optimization, antioxidant, skin health, anti-aging, cellular protection, exercise recovery, and inflammation reduction. It’s an exercise mimetic, meaning that it provides some of the benefits of exercise but without the work.

Nick’s Take: This supplement isn’t very well known, but I imagine it’ll become popular in the next few years. I started taking it in November 2022 and plan on writing up a review in the future.
