9-Me-BC or 9-Methyl-β-carboline is a novel, dopaminergic, cognitive enhancer (AKA nootropic). Shown to improve dopamine, a neurotransmitter vital to mood, focus, energy, and wakefulness. It’s non-depleting and works by inducing the growth of hippocampal (involved in memory formation and storage) dopaminergic neurons. 9-Me-BC also has neuro-anti-inflammatory effects. It’s both dopamine restorative and protective.

Nick’s Take: I sometimes use this to rapidly reverse stimulant tolerance (during my quarterly caffeine tolerance reset). Overall, it’s a promising nootropic that I expect to gain popularity in the coming years. As a side note, it does temporarily increase sensitivity to the sun, so plan accordingly.
