I don’t normally post comments, but I feel like I need to make a comment since almost all the info in this article on ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops is incorrect.
As far as your info about a lawsuit…here is what Trace Minerals said: “We were not sued by the state of California but rather received notice from a law firm working out of the state of Georgia who routinely sought action against nutritional supplement companies selling products in California. That action was resolved without the need to remove any products from our product line or to alter any of our formulas in our products. We did agree to label a few of our products with a Prop 65 warning that is commonly found in California because of laws that have been passed there but in no other state.”
Additionally, your claim that third-party testing proved high levels of heavy metals is not accurate either. I’m not sure what third-party testing you are referring to, but I know that at one point Labdoor had posted results that suggested high levels of heavy metals. Trace Minerals disputed these results and after Labdoor conducted an investigation, they made the correction and posted the accurate levels on their website.
Lastly, you stated that the ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops had gone through a secret formula change. This statement is COMPLETELY false! They did go through a rebranding a few years back and made some adjustments to their labels, but the “formula” hasn’t changed. If you would have contacted the company you would find out that the ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops are harvested (not formulated or manufactured like many of the products that you promoted in your article) and so, like fruits and vegetables, the mineral concentrations may vary slightly from batch to batch/harvest to harvest.
I do hope that you will edit the article and post the accurate information. I was initially very intrigued as I began reading the article and found the information helpful. But when I read all the misinformation about the ConcenTrace Trace Mineral Drops, I found myself disappointed and ultimately it made me question the accuracy of the other info in the article.

A lot of what I read is straight from the public domain. They were sued in California. The settlement from the Alamedia County “Superior Court Of The State Of California” and filed by the public non-profit “Environmental Research Center” is here. Check it out. In my opinion, “fixing” the issue by just lowering the serving size until they get under the limit and slapping a Prop 65 warning on the label is irresponsible and misleading customers. When it comes to heavy metals, they should seek to set a new standard, not skate by.
If you’re “not sure what third-party testing” I’m referring to, how can it be “not accurate”? You can verify the third party testing by searching for it (as I did). Here and here, you’ll see tests by The Mineral Foundation on ConcenTrace products. As you see, they test right at the limit for a number of heavy metals (including arsenic). I also wouldn’t want to ingest this much mercury for one supplement. Then there are the user reported analytical tests. Just check the Amazon product review page and search for any heavy metal as a keyword.
I’m all for nature-based products. I use them daily. I consider a formula to be the combination of any two substances. So, sea water + anything else = a formula. Their product text says “With essential minerals harvested from Utah’s Great Salt Lake, we infuse our products with these naturally occuring [sic] minerals as the basis for optimal and balanced nutrition.”. To me that makes it a formula.
Perhaps just the label changed and the contents didn’t. But when the nutrient DV percentages in the Nutrition Facts and the Serving Size, and the Servings Per Container (for the same size bottle) change, it seems to me that the product has changed. Perhaps they feel the need to more accurately label their products in the aftermath of the lawsuit and consumer concern. Perhaps the composition of their source has changed that drastically due to the practices and pollution of modern day.
Anyway, I hope that clarifies just a bit behind why I stopped using them.
