Why brain PBM is different from body red light therapy

That doesn’t make 1070nm ineffective. It means the evidence gap is significant. Both wavelengths interact with cytochrome c oxidase, just at different absorption peaks.

The science behind 1070nm is intriguing. Proponents argue this wavelength reaches deeper brain structures through a different optical window. A 2022 open-label study in the Journal of Biophotonics tested the Neuradiant on 14 Long COVID patients. All reported cognitive function returning to normal after 4 weeks.

That’s promising. But context matters. It was an open-label trial with 14 people and no control group. Compare that to Vielight’s 25+ studies including randomized controlled trials.
