10 Best Organ Meat Supplements [2022 Review] For Health & Vitality

SHARE

Animals intuitively know something we humans forgot.

Organ meat is nature’s multivitamin. A nutritional powerhouse loaded with highly absorbable vitamins, minerals, growth cofactors, enzymes, and other bioactives. All in their best forms and without the unwanted calories and methionine of muscle meat.

There’s just one problem – consuming it. Most hate the taste, don’t like the texture, and can’t imagine “ruining” their favorite foods or dishes with it.

Whenever I go full-carnivore, organ meats are a part of my day. Unless I have a skilled cook in the kitchen, I much prefer supplementation.

This review of the best organ meat supplements will cover the different types, their health benefits, and how to use them to complement any diet and health goal.

Which Organ Meats Do You Need?

All meat isn’t the same.

Every cut of every type of meat contains different nutrients (and ratios) and has different effects on the body.

Compared to widely consumed muscle meats, organ meat (offal) has several distinct advantages:

  • Greater micronutrient density
  • Exclusive nutrients not found in other foods
  • Lower in methionine (the amino acid correlating meat with cancer)
  • Cost

More on the health benefits of offal later.

Your ideal organ depends on your goal and ailments. In biology, there’s a concept called the “Doctrine of Signatures”. It’s the concept of like affects like. Applied to health, food that resembles a part of the body will positively impact the function of that system.

Doctrine of Signatures - Ancient Wisdom Suppressed By The Establishment

This concept holds true with meats:

  • Have a thyroid issue? Consume thyroid
  • Want cardioprotection? Eat heart
  • Suffer from kidney problems? Try kidney
  • Struggle with digestion? Add pancreas to your plate
  • Weak immune system? Pick spleen
  • Burning out your adrenals? Adrenals might help
  • To boost overall wellbeing? Choose liver

Sometimes this is difficult. In the USA, for example, you’ll struggle to source clean animal brains.

For general health and wellness, I like either a complex of different organ meats or pure beef liver.

Organ complexes are nature’s multivitamin. A well-rounded nutrient profile, and great to keep all the bodily systems “bioharmonized”. Organ complexes tend to come at a slight premium since they take more effort to produce. Serious health issues aside, most people do best from consuming an organ meat complex.

Beef liver, however, is the single best organ meat supplement to support wellbeing. The liver is the organ highest in nutrients, used throughout the ages and by cultures worldwide.

So choose based on your own needs.

The best overall organ meats for health (in order of effectiveness):

  • Beef Complex
  • Beef Liver
  • Bone Marrow
  • Others

From my research and personal experience, these are the best offal supplements to sustain optimal health.

The Best Desiccated Beef Organ Complex Supplements

Beef organs are some of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet.

Desiccation and freeze-drying preserve their vibrant, disease-free nutrition.

You can target specific organs for additional support, or get a complex for health optimization.

If I could only take one product, it’d be these top grass-fed beef organ complexes.

Paleovalley Organ Complex

Paleovalley GrassFed Organ Meat Complex Supplement Review & Comparison

Overview

Dose: Freeze Dried Grass-Fed Beef Organs – 3600mg (Liver – 2700mg, Heart – 540mg, Kidney – 360mg)

Other Ingredients: Gelatin capsule

Servings: 30

Price: $29.06 – $44.99

Price Per Gram: $0.27

Meat Origin: USA

Availability: USA, Canada, Australia

Founded by Autumn Smith out of frustration with the lack of quality whole-food supplements and ultra-clean snacks, Paleovalley solves that problem. Paleovalley is one of the only monthly subscriptions I have. Their grass-fed organ meat complex is no exception. They source organs from 100% grass-fed, pasture-raised cows to maximize nutrient content. Unlike many alternatives that cut costs by spray drying with heat, they preserve the delicate enzymes, cofactors, and other nutrients by gently freeze-drying the organs.

Each capsule contains no fillers, flow agents, antibiotics, steroids, or hormones — just organs and the capsule. The label lists the dosages of each organ, so you know exactly what you’re consuming. Every bottle contains 180 capsules, which works out to a 30-day supply and a dose of 3.6 grams crammed into 6 capsules per serving.

My biggest gripe is that their organ complex is often out of stock. If available, find out why it has a 4.85-star rating on 248 ratings. When you click the link below, subscribe, buy in bulk, and use the promo code, each bottle works out to $29.06.

Should you not love your purchase, easily capitalize on their full 60-day no questions asked money-back guarantee.

When I take an organ meat complex, it’s Paleovalley due to the affordability, dedication to quality, and solid formulation.

PaleoPro is a newer supplement company focused on, as its name suggests, Paleo-approved products.

OG Blend is one of their three grass-fed organ meat supplements. As you’d expect, their cows are also grass-fed and pasture-raised but in Argentina & New Zealand. Two countries renowned for outstanding meat quality and regulation.

Each capsule contains no additive, hormones, antibiotics, wheat, gluten, or grain. The bottle contains 180 pills, working out to 30 servings of 6 capsules and a dose of 3,600 grams of organ meat.

PaleoPro is based out of California, and one of the major differentiators, is that their products undergo third-party lab verification in the USA.

Though PaleoPro rarely runs sales on this, subscribing knocks $4.50 off the price, making it one of the cheapest organ complexes available (without buying in bulk).

PaleoPro is the best overall desiccated organ meat supplement for those working with a tight budget.

Ancestral Supplements Beef Organ Complex (Liver, Heart, Kidney, Pancreas, Spleen)

No list of desiccated organ pills is complete without featuring Ancestral Supplements. They’re simply the biggest name in the industry, and set the bar for the utmost quality. Producing each of their many different organ meats in small batches. Since the explosion of the keto and carnivore diets, Ancestral Supplements has struggled to keep up with demand. They’re also probably the best source for learning and knowledge on the many health benefits and uses of organ meats.

Like some of the others, they pasture raise their cows in New Zealand & Australia and then manufacture the supplements in the USA. Ancestral Supplements makes the distinction that they finish their cattle on grass too. A dirty secret of the livestock industry is that even grass-fed animals often receive grains for the final weeks of their lives, resulting in higher profits but lower nutrient levels.

They also follow the best practice of freeze-drying the meat, rather than using high heat processing. As nature intended, they leave the fat in the meat. Making the nutrients more bioavailable. Finally, products undergo third-party purity testing.

Every pill contains no fillers, flow agents, pesticides, hormones, or GMOs. The 180-capsule bottle equates to 30 servings of 6 capsules, with a total dose of 3,000mg of organ meats. Since this complex features 6 types of organ meat, the dose of each is a lower 600mg.

The quality and name of Ancestral supplements come at a cost. $48 for 30 servings, or about $1.60 per dose.

If you want the broadest-spectrum grass-finished organ meat supplement and don’t mind the premium, chose Ancestral Supplements.

The Best Beef Liver Supplements

I’ve tried to work beef liver into my diet. But it can be hard to find high-quality grass-fed liver, and it has a strong taste.

I’d recommend anyone short of Master Chef status try cooking with a different organ instead. It’s unforgiving, the slightest mistake can ruin the dish.

Of all the organs, grass-fed beef liver seems most important for overall health. And it can be considerably cheaper than complexes. Here are some of the best beef liver supplements.

Gram Price: $0.38

Meat Origin: New Zealand & Australia

Availability: Worldwide

As previously mentioned, Ancestral Supplements sells virtually all organ meats. Nothing sells like their Beef Liver.

Where their 5-meat complex contained just 600mg of each organ, this one is 3,000mg of pure grass-finished beef liver. Free of fillers, excipients, flow agents, pesticides, hormones, GMOs, and other contaminants.

Ancestral Supplements have maximized nutrient absorption by freeze-drying the meats and keeping them non-defatted.

Each bottle contains 180 pills, 30 servings of 6 capsules.

At $38 per container, Ancestral Supplements’ Beef Liver is the most expensive in the category. Partially due to their dedication to small batch quality control.

This is the ultimate and crowd favorite grass-finished beef liver.

PaleoPro Liver Gold

paleopro liver gold review

Overview

Dose: Grass-Fed Beef Liver – 3000mg

Other Ingredients: Gelatin capsule

Servings: 30

Price: $25.49 – $29.99

Price Per Gram: $0.28

Meat Origin: Argentina & New Zealand

Availability: Worldwide

The second of PaleoPro’s three products, is pure beef liver. They call it “Liver Gold”.

Just like their grass-fed beef organ complex, Liver Gold is sourced from cattle grass-fed and pastured in Argentina & New Zealand. Liver Gold is third-party lab-verified in the USA.

This supplement contains no binders, fillers, excipients, pesticides, additives, hormones, wheat, gluten, grains, or antibiotics.

The 3,000mg dose is slightly less than 3,600 in their OG Blend. Each bottle contains 30-servings of 6 capsules each. Subscribe to a monthly delivery, and the total cost comes down by $4.50.

Liver Gold contains full fat but is likely processed at a higher-than-optimal temperature. High temperatures (as opposed to freeze-drying) can degrade fragile enzymes, cofactors, and other biological activity. This probably explains the low cost of Liver Gold.

If you don’t mind the high-temperature processing, PaleoPro’s Liver Gold is the best budget desiccated beef liver pills.

Grassland Nutrition

grassland nutrition beef liver review

Overview

Dose: Organic Grass-Fed Beef Liver – 3000mg

Other Ingredients: Gelatin capsule

Servings: 30

Price: $30.90 – $36.00

Price Per Gram: $0.34

Meat Origin: Australia

Availability: Worldwide

Grassland Nutrition is one of the premier sources of organic snacks, supplements, and products to support the carnivore diet. They’re also Australia-based, but have a warehouse in the USA. Meaning that you can buy their supplements from most parts of the world and receive them in a reasonable time.

They’ve focused on sourcing the cleanest possible meat. In addition to OBE Organic certification in Australia, their cows are halal-sourced, grass-finished, and freeze-dried after processing to maintain the biological activity naturally occurring in meat.

One 180-pill bottle contains 30, 3-gram doses of Australian Grass-Fed Liver. Just meat and the gelatin capsule. No flow agents, fillers, or other additives.

I like that they mention intricate details about the superb living conditions of their cattle. Free-grazing on a plant species-rich grassland. However, I would like to see more about processing methods, whether they remove the fat, and lab testing details.

When you buy a 3-pack and use the promo code, the price per bottle works out to $30.90. You can also get their blend of liver and kelp for extra iodine and energy support.

NSP Nutrition Beef Liver

nspnutrition beef liver review

Overview

Dose: Grass-Fed Beef Liver – 5000mg

Other Ingredients: Gelatin capsule, Rice Flour, Magnesium Stearate

Servings: 20

Price: $43.97

Price Per Gram: $0.45

Meat Origin: Argentina

Availability: USA, Canada, Europe

Way back in 1972, legendary Mr. Olympia trainer Vince “The Iron Guru” Gironda founded NSP Nutrition. His mission was to provide great supplements to pro bodybuilders, world-class athletes, and other fitness enthusiasts. Since then, they’ve expanded into the broader market of health optimization and began offering organ meat glandulars.

NSP Nutrition sources Argentinian (from Los Pampanos) cattle fed a natural grass diet. Since they de-fat this beef liver, it’s a great option for those that struggle with digestion or upset stomachs.

Most of the marketing claims on their website apply to all beef liver, and not just this product.

Note that they consider a dose to be 5-grams (10 capsules). Each bottle only contains 20 doses. Each bottle of NSP comes out 8-grams short (100g vs 108g) of the typical 3,600mg, 30 serving bottle. That’s why I recommend comparing the price per gram between products.

This product is free of hormones, antibiotics, hormones, pesticides, wheat, and gluten. Unlike the other products, however, this one does contain unnecessary ingredients like magnesium stearate and rice flour.

When you buy in bulk and use the code, you can get the price down to $27.33 per bottle.

NSP Nutrition de-fats their liver supplement, so it’s best for those with sensitive stomachs or digestion issues.

Vital Proteins Beef Liver

vitalprotein beef liver review

Overview

Dose: Grass-Fed Beef Liver – 3000mg

Other Ingredients: Gelatin capsule

Servings: 30

Price: $28.50 – $32.30

Gram Price: $0.32

Meat Origin: Unknown

Availability: International

Vital Proteins made a name for themselves with their wildly popular collagen protein supplements. They’re a much bigger company than the other brands on this list. Plus, their website looks good and is easy to navigate.

The quality of their grass-fed beef liver is difficult to determine. On one hand, it’s grass-fed and the Supplement Facts mentions freeze-drying. That should indicate that they process it at low temperatures. But since that’s more expensive, you’d expect to see mention of their process in the product description. Apparently, it’s Whole30 Approved.

I like that the label mentions a breakdown of both the macronutrients and micronutrients in their beef liver. You can even see the ratio of each amino acid inside, something no other brand lists.

Each 120-pill bottle contains 30 servings, with 3000mg of freeze-dried beef liver in each. Without a subscription, it’s $38. Commit to recurring deliveries, and the price comes down to $32.50 (the first order is only $28.50).

Order Vital Proteins beef liver if you prefer to see the full vitamin, mineral, and nutrition breakdown on the product label.

Great Organ Meat Supplements & Their Uses

If you’re having issues or want to optimize a specific organ or bodily system, you’ll want the corresponding organ meat.

The most coveted of these being:

  • Adrenals
  • Thyroid
  • Bone Marrow
  • Testicles

You’ll usually encounter these organs compounded with beef liver, since liver is a nutritional powerhouse and supports full-body health.

Next, we’ll dig into what to look for in each of these categories and the benefits they provide.

Liver

q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B01MSBZYQW&Format= SL400 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=mindbodypeak 20&language=en USir?t=mindbodypeak 20&language=en US&l=li3&o=1&a=B01MSBZYQW

Ultimate full-body support of many organs and biochemical processes

The undisputed king of organs, liver has an illustrious history for the vitality it imbues. You’ll find liver in virtually every product on the market. Either in pure form, or blended with others. It’s the closest thing to an animal-based multivitamin. Liver also has a strong, very difficult to mask, taste. Though it’s indeed a filtration organ, it does NOT store toxins.

Beef liver plays a vital role in detoxification and optimizing the body: brain, heart, liver, teeth, gums, skin, hair, joints, tendons, ligaments, immunity, energy, methylation, and much more. Nutrients in beef liver include: vitamin A, most of the B vitamins, choline, CoQ10, hyaluronic acid, zinc, chromium, manganese, copper, iron, phosphorous, selenium, glutathione, and L-carnitine, as well as trace amounts of others.

It’s so powerful, that Traditional Chinese Medicine considers the liver the seed of vitality. To prevent experiencing a Herxheimer (detox) reaction, gradually increase your dose over time.

Get grass-finished liver where possible, and look for a minimum dose of 3,000mg.

Thyroid

ancentral supplements thyroid

The master metabolic regulator for increased energy and liver health.

If I had thyroid issues, the first place I’d stop would be Ancestral Supplements. Whether over-or under-active, grass-fed thyroid brings the body back into homeostatic balance. To ensure maximum nutrition, you’ll want a product made of “whole thyroid glandular” rather than just a part.

Grass-fed thyroid plays a role in: energy, mood, metabolic health, and immunity. People sometimes even report better energy and zero side effects compared to conventional thyroid medications.

You’ll usually find these supplements dosed between 20-50mg of desiccated beef thyroid, often compounded with liver.

Adrenals

ancentral supplements adrenals

Rebuild “exhausted” adrenals and fortify your defenses against stress.

Your adrenal glands produce cortisol, epinephrine, and other stress hormones from cholesterol. Consuming adequate cholesterol-rich fat can often improve the health of this organ and it’s the first thing to try. For more extreme adrenal insufficiency (”fatigue”), and like beef liver, slowly work your way up to a full dose to avoid the potential detox reaction.

Commonly reported benefits of adrenal organ supplements include: boosted energy, greater concentration, elevated mood, healthy blood sugar support, improved immunity, and greater stress resiliency.

Make sure the product contains both parts, the Adrenal Cortex and the Adrenal Medulla. Expect to encounter beef adrenal dosages between 200-300mg.

Bone & Marrow

q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B0736BQHYJ&Format= SL400 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=outliyr038 20&language=en USir?t=outliyr038 20&language=en US&l=li3&o=1&a=B0736BQHYJ

Strengthen and repair your bones, connective tissues, and immune system.

In many cultures around the world, bone marrow ranks high among the most treasured meats. In the modern Western world, however, it’s rarely consumed—much less supplemented. It’s also harder to find as a powder. As a supplement, you’ll often encounter formulations combining cartilage, marrow, and the bone matrix for maximum effects.

Before I added glucosamine, MSM, and other orthopedic supporting supplements, if I had an injury, this would be one of my go-tos. Benefits include maintaining and regenerating: skin, tendons, ligaments, cartilage; teeth; and immune system. Bone marrow also generates blood cells, so it contains all kinds of powerful nutrients. These include magnesium, vitamins A, D, K, phosphorus, collagen, growth factors. And likely explains how our non-tooth brushing ancestors avoided cavities.

Look for clean beef organs with dosages of 400-600mg. Make sure the product uses the cleanest, grass-finished bones, since conventional bones contain radioactive isotopes and other contaminants.

Heart

q? encoding=UTF8&ASIN=B0714PXKCQ&Format= SL400 &ID=AsinImage&MarketPlace=US&ServiceVersion=20070822&WS=1&tag=outliyr038 20&language=en USir?t=outliyr038 20&language=en US&l=li2&o=1&a=B0714PXKCQ

Maximize athletic performance, energy, and normalize cardiovascular biomarkers.

Before hopping on cardiovascular system-modifying medications, I personally would first explore beef heart. According to recent lab testing, I’ve overtaxed my energy-generating mitochondria. I’m actually considering this as a powerful and safe approach.

Beef heart is naturally high in the cardio super-nutrient Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10), and more importantly, all the required cofactors to produce it endogenously. Heart also contains collagen, elastin, and vitamin B12. People consume it to support healthy blood, mitochondria, and athletic performance (circulation is key to high-output).

There’s nothing unusual to look for in products, and the dosage varies widely.

Testicles

paleopro major mojo review

Optimize male sex hormones, growth, and virility.

Cultures throughout time have used animal testicles to enhance growth hormone, boost vigor, and reverse importance. It’s a great way to address low libido, impotence, and low testosterone and a historical favorite of those needing maximum athletic ability. For millennia, the ancient Indian science of Ayurveda has prescribed eating testicles. Unlike hormone replacement therapy, this doesn’t harm the body’s feedback loops.

Rocky Mountain Oysters (testicles) are rich in the Vitamins A, B12, D, E, K and the minerals zinc, iron, and selenium. Few companies offer beef testicles. Most of the time you’ll encoutner it included in male hormone optimization blends.

Find a supplement made from a properly raised animal, and note that beef testicles go by many different names throughout the world. Your ideal dosage depends on your weight.

Why Organ Meats Are Nature’s Top Superfood

As the name implies, organ meats are the organs and glands of an animal. Including the brain, heart, liver, kidneys, stomach, bone, bone marrow, spleen, adrenals, thymus, testicles, and others.

Every organ requires specific nutrients to function optimally. These nutrients concentrate in specific parts of the body.

Modern humans, however, mostly eat methionine-rich muscle meats. Chicken breast and thigh, beef steaks, pork chops, etc. We discard the rest of the animal.

While our refined palate now prefer these muscle meats, they lack the nutritional vibrancy of eating animals nose-to-tail as our ancestors did.

Dominant members of wild animal packs, across the animal kingdom, know something humans seem to have forgotten. They eat the highly nutritious organ meats first.

Today, we’re dangerously deficient in many vital nutrients, despite the best efforts of food manufacturers to add synthetic versions back into products. Leading to suboptimal health, sickness, and eventual disease.

But you’ve probably heard this widespread myth…

Are Organ Meats Bad for You?

Contrary to popular myth, organ meats do not store toxins and impurities. While it’s true that the liver does process toxins, post-metabolism they’re quickly moved to other parts of the body for excretion (urine, sweat, stool, and fat cells as a last resort).

In fact, liver is one of the richest sources of a nutrient called choline, which optimizes the body’s built-in detoxification pathways.

Good, clean grass-fed, pasture-raised organ meat is safe, healthy, and has proven to be among the most nutritious foods available.

Health Benefits of Eating Organ Meat

Health & Performance Benefits of Organ Meats (Eating or Supplementing)

Organ meats exert a wide variety of health and performance benefits.

You can get all these from eating the highest-quality grass-finished and pasture-raised organ meats. Or you can supplement them. Either way.

Some of the benefits of consuming organ meats include:

  • Increased energy from the B vitamins, mitochondrial-supporting CoQ10
  • Greater athletic performance, endurance, and fatigue-resistance from consuming beef extract, and increased swim capacity
  • Greater weight loss indirectly from satisfying the “optimal foraging theory” whereby we’re not satiated until we consume adequate amino acids and micronutrients
  • Muscle gain from bioavailable amino acids and particularly high concentrations of anabolic leucine
  • Learning, memory, and cognitive health support from nutrients like iron, choline, B vitamins, DHA, BDNF, and more
  • Lower toxic burden since liver contains potent detox agents like choline, molybdenum, and more
  • Radiant skin from the amino acid glycine (abundant in collagen protein), and one of few non-synthetic sources of vitamin A
  • Reduces inflammation indirectly by lowering a methionine conversion byproduct called homocysteine
  • Improves omega-3 to omega-6 ratio, as organs meats are vastly superior to the inflammatory omega ratio of plants and muscle meats
  • Bioavailable nutrients (vitamins & minerals) easily absorbed and utilized by the body
  • Value since price is often similar yet the products are vastly more absorbable than synthetic supplements

Many of these nutrition results cannot be replicated with synthetic alternatives.

Overall, organ meats deserve a spot in any household.

How to Buy The Best Organ Meat Supplements

When evaluating organ meat products, there are both general and organ-specific guidelines. Above, we went deeper into specific organs. Here are general suggestions.

Country of origin. Countries vary tremendously in their requirements for the raising of livestock. How much sun they see, what they eat, allowed chemicals, and more. Cattle from Argentina and New Zealand are considered the best, due to more stringent hormone regulations. For example, the cattle fattening hormone, diethylstilbestrol (DES) is banned in both. The right unpolluted regions of the United States are also good. Search for organs free of hormones, pesticides, and GMOs and raised either in Argentina, New Zealand, or the USA.

Processing method. Supplement companies often use high-heat to dry meats, get them to market faster, and increase profit. The process, however, destroys sensitive enzymes, cofactors, peptides, and other biological activity. This is as close to the raw meat as we can get. For the best effects, look for 100% freeze dried products. You’ll also see this called desiccated or flash-dried.

Premium quality. Only buy grass-fed organ meats. Conventionally raised organs are far lower in nutrients, and higher in toxic contaminants. You’ve probably noticed every product in this list is grass-fed. Some are grass-finished, meaning that they only eat grass their entire life (grass-fed cows can still eat grains for the last few weeks of their lives). Pasture raised cattle get to freely graze fields throughout the lives. So the ideal product is grass-fed, grass-finished, and pasture-raised.

Fat content. Organ meats naturally contain some fat. For some organs, like the brain, much more. A controversial topic in the organ lovers community. Proponents of using the fat claim that it’s the way nature packaged organ meats. The other side says that it can cause digestive issues, and humans traditionally tossed the gristle. If you can handle it, I recommend finding supplements that are non-defatted.

Additives. During the manufacturing process, adding certain ingredients, chemicals, and fillers can dramatically increase efficiency (and profit). You’ll often come across Rice Flour Concentrate, Magnesium Stearate, commonly allergenic ingredients, and others. There’s no need for them. Choose products with nothing but the organ meats, and gelatin capsule.

Organ Meat Frequently Asked Questions

How much organ meat should I eat for health benefits?

Organs, especially beef liver, are exceptionally high in nutrients. Some of these are fat-soluble, and not easily excreted. Most people don’t need to worry about overeating or oversupplementing organs. The general recommendation is to consume up to 100 grams of beef liver per week. You can consume larger quantities of other organs.

Are there side effects of consuming organ meats?

The primary side effects of overconsuming organ meats is a possible Herxheimer (detox) reaction. This condition is characterized by flu-like symptoms, including headache, lethargy, dizziness, nausea, temperature fluctuations, bowel issues, etc. Mitigate this by slowly increasing dose over time.

Nature’s Animal-Based Multi-Vitamin, Multi-Mineral, & More

Animal flesh is a great source of bioavailable nutrition. Delivering vitamins, minerals, and other cofactors in their optimal forms.

Among carnivores, organ meats hold even greater value. Rounding out the profile of missing nutrients from typically consumed muscle meats.

Meat consumption is often associated with poor health and disease. Not organ meats. Due to their high glycine and low methionine content, organ meats have powerful healthspan-increasing benefits.

The best organs to consume for optimal health:

  • Beef complex — get the benefits of multiple different meats
  • Beef liver — the single top organ to support overall wellbeing
  • Beef bone and marrow — quickly recover and regenerate the body using natural growth factors
  • Other organs — a natural approach to targeting specific systems and dysfunctions.

If you can find it locally and don’t mind a new acquired taste, by all means meet your local grass-fed butcher. You can get fresh, quality organ meats semi-inexpensively. But it’ll take some experimenting to learn the proper cooking techniques (definitely a WIP for me).

But if that’s not you, supplementation can make a huge difference.

Most of the products I’ve come across look pretty similar, with a few important differences.

I hope this guide to organ meat supplementation has been useful to you. If you have any questions or comments, drop a comment below!
