There’s this little-known secret that’s escaping the world’s elite and transforming lives across the globe. And it’s this…
Your brain is infinitely more capable than you realize.
As you’ll learn in this Nootopia review, a certain special class of brain-boosting ingredients called nootropics can help you tap into your mind’s full potential, and live your perfect life.
Nootropic companies often create generic products with cheap and ineffective formulas. Today’s post is a rare exception. Since a fellow biohacker sent me some to test in late 2021, Nootopia quickly became my go-to.
I’ve now used their different blends hundreds of times.
What follows is my review of Nootopia’s personalized nootropic products (World Domination, Focused Ferocity, and Brilliance on Demand). By the end, you’ll know if the premium Nootopia nootropic experience is right for you, or if you’re better off starting with more basic brain supplements.
How to Upgrade Your Brain With Nootropics
Before we get started, we must define nootropics and differentiate them from smart drugs.
Nootropics are substances that satisfy five crucial criteria:
- Non-toxic and safe
- Improves memory and learning
- Nourishes the brain under stress
- Neuroprotective against chemical and psychological injury
- Boosts cognition (faculties like memory, creativity, concentration, productivity, etc)
Usually—but not always—these are natural ingredients that have evolved alongside humans. They tend to be safer and with fewer side effects. A few examples include Ashwagandha, Rhodiola, Ginseng, adaptogenic mushrooms, vitamins and minerals, and other “nutraceuticals”. But this category also includes peptides and powerful man-made ingredients like racetams.
You can learn more in my Beginner’s Guide to Nootropics post. Or see my Recommended Nootropic Supplement Vendors.
Used properly, these ingredients can radically upgrade the quality of your life. They’ve made such a profound difference in my life, that I decided to make a FREE brain optimization with nootropics mini-course. You’ll learn the tips, hacks, and products professionals use to harness the full potential of their minds.
You’ll also learn how to use nootropics properly to improve your baseline. When you rev your mental motor, recovery becomes paramount to your long-term success. This free mini-course will help you avoid the pitfalls that sometimes lead unsavvy nootropic users to degeneration and eventual burnout. Join below:
Now that you have a primer on the subject, we’ll discuss why you should consider these hot new nootropic products.
What is Nootopia?
Nootopia is an offshoot of the wildly popular BiOptimizers supplement company. Back in 2008, Matt, Wade, and world-class formulator “Mt. Noots” (Mark Effinger) began researching and building their base formulas.
Since then, the team has meticulously studied, expanded upon, and tweaked their ingredient blends to support and improve the many facets of optimal cognition, including:
- Creativity
- Flow
- Focus
- Intuition
- Productivity
- Ideas
- Problem-solving
Nootopia is all about helping you reach Apex performance, which, as they say, happens once you find the sweet spot for your nervous system, neural chemistry, and hormones.
They build and personalize every nootropic in your order to your exact specifications because what works great for me might not for you:
“Everyone is unique. Neurotransmitter dominance and deficiencies, hormones, and liver enzymes vary wildly per individual. Your response to Nootopia stacks changes based on your unique genetics, lifestyle, age, food intake, and other factors.”
Brilliant Mind Blueprint
Amplifying who you are when you’re at your best, making you more effective, and helping your life flow more easily.
If you’ve nailed the basics of healthy living (diet, movement, meditation, sleep, etc), then Nootopia gives you an advantage.
Nootopia’s currently has nine different formulas:
- Brain Flow
- Ultimate Focus
- Upbeat
- Nectar X
- Power Solution
- The Apex
- Zamner Juice
- Mental Reboot (AM & PM)
- Gabalicious
Each formulas is ketogenic, plant-based, scientifically-validated, and effective. Best of all, customized. Here’s how the process works.
How Nootopia works
The process is simple:
- Choose program
- Provide goals and background
- Receive products customized to your needs
- Test and grow your brain with use
- Optimize with feedback on your order
After choosing your ideal Nootopia package (I recommend Focused Ferocity for beginners), you’ll be prompted to fill out a questionnaire on your goals for using nootropics, your lifestyle, and the facets of cognition that you most want to improve.
These questions help you drill down on your optimal levels of Focus, Euphoria, Energy, Confidence, and Calm. More isn’t always better, and Nootopia nicely explains the consequences of increasing any of these too much.
The entire survey took me 5-10 minutes. Several days later, they had fully customized my order and I received a tracking number.
Less than a week after ordering, a mysterious black box arrived at my front door.
As it turns out, I was in for quite the surprise.
The Nootopia Products
As I brought the package inside, I appreciated that the Nootopia Team recreated the elegant unboxing experience common to Apple products. The vials, potions, and mini sachets felt reminiscent of modern-day alchemy.
Don’t make my mistake. Everything fits neatly into the box. I took everything out and struggled to fit it back inside.
“These formulations are not your basic vitamins or supplements. They are very powerful physiological and neurological enhancers.”
Brilliant Mind Blueprint
As a Nootopia customer, in a previous email, I received free access to the BiOptimizers 12-week course. In the box I also found the complementary free Brilliant Mind Blueprint book jampacked full of tips to ensure the best possible nootropic experience (whether Nootopia or elsewhere).
The book explains how to:
- Find your ideal nootropic ingredients and blends
- Balance the effects
- Time them for smoothness and to avoid any crash
- Set up your lifestyle for success and greater nootropic potency
- Sustain the new level of performance over the long-term
Even more impressive than the packaging, were the tools within.
I counted 52 items inside my box.
Note that you’ll encounter some rare ingredients in these formulas. Including the entire Omnipept class. Which, as Mr. Noots describes, is a fusion between a plant extract and the wildly popular racetam class of nootropics. Inserting the extract during the conversion process from amino acid to racetam imbues the final product with greater bioavailability and the best characteristics of each.
Follow-up orders also contains some special products. Like Nootopia’s Dopa Drops and their GABAlicious.
Now, we’ll explore the products, stacks, and my lessons from testing each.
Nectar X
As their app recommends, I began my Nootopia journey with the Nectar X. A 16-gram powdered potion containing a custom blend of energy boosters.
I’m not one for rules, so I mixed the powder into my water and immediately drank 2/3 (instead of the suggested 1/4 – 1/2). I chose the flavoring during my initial survey and the taste reminds me of a fruit punch-flavored sports drink. They managed to mask the horrid taste of most nootropics.
I felt Nectar start kicking in less than ten minutes after my first sip. These are the fastest-acting nootropics (aside from nicotine) that I’ve taken. I slowly sipped the remaining 1/3 over the next hour.
Unlike caffeine where I get tunnel vision on the current task, I felt that I could more easily take in information from my surroundings. I know that multitasking is a productivity no-no, but I did it better than usual.
Over the next few hours, Nectar X amplified my natural energy. It didn’t feel “speedy”, but something akin to increasing both the size of and flow through my reservoir.
I did have a cup of half-caf coffee about two hours after my first sip of Nectar X. I did feel momentary queasiness.
This formula has potent appetite-suppressing effects. I always have a healthy post-lunch dessert, and while on Nectar X, I rarely finish it.
Nootopia describes the benefits of Nectar X as:
- Mood elevation
- Energy boost
- Learning enhancement
- Mental clarity
- Healthy habit formation
After several uses, I now turn to this one on big days, where I can’t let a bad night of sleep or low energy hold me back.
Potential ingredients in Nectar X include:
- N-Methyl-Peptide
- Intellect Tree Bio-Oil™ (custom, non-toxic nootropic distillate)
- BrainSpark (custom non-toxic neuro-stimulant)
- Phosphatidylcholine
- Acetyl-L-Tyrosine
- Centrophenoxine
- Alpha GPC
- CDP Choline
- Piperine
- Anhydrous Caffeine
- Vitamin E (oil)
- Complete 3-6-9 EFA Capsule
- High-Density, High-Bioavailability Vitamin B Capsule
- Complete Coconut Oil+MCT+Krill Oil Capsule
Nectar X is my favorite overall Nootopia product, perfect for a big energy boost while maintaining clarity and relaxation.
Brain Flow
I knew these capsules were something special as soon as I pulled one out of the tube. The ingredients within the large capsule undergo normal metabolism and start exerting effects quickly.
Nootropics are often very fragile molecules. To preserve their function, they need to bypass harsh stomach acid. This is why many work best when injected, sprayed into the nose or encapsulated in liposomes.
Within the capsule, you’ll notice a second mini capsule. Nootopia overcame this limitation with what they call their oil suspension technology. It helps the ingredients inside the mini capsule survive stomach acidity, so more of the nootropics release into your bloodstream, and you get stronger effects for longer. Think extended-release.
The next day I tried Brain Flow.
I took 2 capsules on an empty stomach my first time. If you’re not one for horse-sized pills, no matter how advanced the technology, you won’t like Brain Flow.
After Nectar X, I expected near-instant energy and other effects. An hour later, I was wondering if I’d feel anything. Then I realized that I was expecting the wrong effects. Instead of energy and stimulation, Brain Flow puts you “in the zone”. Calm and collected yet clear and focused.
Nootopia describes the benefits of Brain Flow as:
- Smooth energy without crashes
- Clarity and focus
- Mood and life outlook
- Mental stamina
Each capsule of Brain Flow actually includes two capsules. Then within that capsule, oil suspends another mini capsule with different ingredients. Below, I’ve separated the ingredients contained within each.
Potential ingredients in the Brain Flow external oil suspension include:
- Celastrus Paniculatus Extract Oil
- Organic Oil Blend (Piperine Extract Oil, Curcumin Oil Extract, Black Seed Oil, Guarana Extract Oil)
Potential ingredients in the Brain Flow internal capsule include:
- Noopept
- Organic Celastrus Paniculatus Bio-Oil
- CDP Choline
- P-5-P (vitamin B-6)
- Organic Piperine
- Organic Coffee Bean Caffeine
- Theacrine
- Methylcobalamin (Vitamin B-12)
- Pregnenolone from Organic Wild Yam extract
I always like to stack Brain Flow with other ingredients to amplify their effects and smooth out the general profile. I either take it with coffee or another nootropic product. It’s the most versatile nootropic I’ve come across.
Power Solution
Power Solution is a custom blend of 31 powerful, naturally grown and extracted nootropics, and other brain-boosting nutrients. Over the course of seven years of daily testing, Nootopia’s team tested, honed, and perfected the formula.
I mixed up half the vial of Power Solution into a huge mason jar of water, and this time, downed just half immediately. I took it on a day where I had 6:30 AM and 7:00 PM podcasts to record and I paired it with my Apollo Neuro’s “social” mode.
Like Nectar X, it tastes decent, and within a few minutes of my first sip, I already felt my heart rate increase. Not long after, I felt a surge of energy. 30 minutes later, I added fuel to the fire with a full cup of caffeinated coffee. After that, I sipped the remaining half for two hours.
Two hours of work later, I cranked out a blood flow restriction training session, which easily doubled the felt effects. I put my head down and powered through four more hours of work. 7 hours after my dose, I still felt strong effects.
The effects I noticed include:
- Energy boost
- Powerful stimulation
- Presence (physical and mental) enhancement
- Intense clarity
- Faster mental processing speed
I even skipped my afternoon adaptogen drink, because I worried that it might potentiate Power Solution too much.
I’m not easily overwhelmed by nootropics, but I’ve found my Power Solution sweet spot in the 1/3-1/2 dose ballpark.
Nootopia describes the benefits of Power Solution as:
- Potent life-enhancer
- Boosts learning and memory
- Improved mental energy and optimism
- Greater productivity
- Enhanced creativity and ability to enter the Flow State
When I glanced at the label, the complete ingredients profile impressed me. Nootopia took a page out of Qualia’s playbook and added many precursors the brain needs to perform. This results in smooth effects, with virtually zero comedown or crash, while simultaneously helping the brain work better even when you stop taking the nootropic.
Potential ingredients in Power Solution include:
- AquaBoost™ (Custom natural neurostimulator stack)
- Intellect Tree Bio-Oil (Custom nootropic complex)
- Acetyl-L-Tyrosine
- Ascorbic Acid
- Acetyl-L-Carnitine
- L-Theanine
- Arginine AKG
- Pantothenic Acid (B-5)
- Rhodiola Rosea
- L-Glutamine
- Citrulline Malate
- Calcium Citrate
- D-Ribose
- Trimethylglycine
- Phenylethylamine
- Theobromine
- Hordenine
- Magnesium Threonate
- Organic Fruit Extracts
When I want max stimulation without anxiousness, I choose Power Solution. It’s a strong mental and physical energizer that lasts more than five hours.
Mental Reboot
Mental Reboot is a blend of 9 notable “brain cleaners” and neuron accelerators, making it one of Nootopia’s more unique offerings.
From 12-years of R&D, Nootopia and Mr. Noots designed it to help the brain rebalance and return to its naturally balanced state. Great to mitigate the damage & grogginess caused by:
- Late nights out
- Overindulging in foods, alcohol, and better booze alternatives
- Exposure to toxins
- Lackluster sleep
- Over-reliance on smart drugs and medications
It helps remove unwanted accumulations throughout the brain and re-sensitizes you to your nootropics and stimulants. A detoxified brain not only works better but feels stronger effects.
This is their only product with both a morning and evening option. Nootopia says it can be used whenever. Day or night, weekday or weekend. Mental Reboot is one of their clients’ favorites.
I saved mine until I did a two week caffeine and stimulant tolerance reset, to augment and accelerate the re-sensitization.
Within about an hour of taking the morning (light-colored) capsule, I felt:
- Content
- Optimistic
- Full of ideas
I usually dive straight into my work, but on Mental Reboot days, I focus more on planning. I now find myself reaching for Mental Reboot when I need a strategic day.
Nootopia describes the benefits of Mental Reboot as:
- Better response to stimulants, nootropics, and medications
- Reduced nervous, jitters, and fear
- Increased enthusiasm, positivity, and joy
- Accelerated learning
Compared to the other products, I found the effects of Mental Reboot subtle. Upon studying the ingredients list, I discovered that I already take many of the compounds in this formula.
Several days later, I returned to coffee and nootropics from my tolerance reset. I did notice a big change. A single shot of espresso felt like four. I also had to use smaller doses of nootropics.
Potential ingredients in Mental Reboot include:
- Intellect Tree Bio-Oil™ (custom, high-bioavailability, non-toxic nootropic complex)
- Uridine Monophosphate
- Methylcobalamin (sublingual B12)
- Pantothenic Acid (B5)
- CDP Choline
- Ascorbic Acid
- N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine
- MK2+Menaquinone
- Triacetyluridine
- Phosphatidylserine
- Alpha GPC
- Acetyl-L-Tyrosine
- Cilantro Leaf
- Chlorella
- Humic+Fulvic+Phenolic Acid Blend
Upbeat
Upbeat is an encapsulated formula of 7 notable mood-lifting nootropics (nutrients and stimulants). It works heavily on the serotonin pathway, priming you to tap into the most desirable characteristics of your upbeat personality.
Like the instructions suggested, I took two capsules on the morning of another podcast-heavy day. I had three long episodes to record, and I started feeling it after about 45 minutes. Conversations throughout the day were considerably more enjoyable. I found myself engaging in my chats more, and I formed deeper connections with my guests.
Several hours later, and after my morning coffee, I noticed that my state took on a bit of euphoria. I also more eagerly took on a new book and course that I began months earlier but never completed.
Nootopia describes the benefits of Upbeat as:
- Increased energy
- Insane confidence
- Greater creativity
- Uplifted vibe
- Strong drive and ambition
- Rapid learning
- Easy focus
- Better decision making
All without aggression or the tension I get from stimulants (including coffee).
Nootopia's Upbeat is "The Personality Multiplier" Share on XEach pill contains a blend of natural and herbal nootropics and mental “accelerators”.
I generally don’t respond well to the popular motivation-boosting “CILTEP” stack. I expected to get a headache from the Forskolin in this. But I felt surprisingly good, meaning that other ingredients must offset the side effects.
Potential ingredients in Upbeat include:
- Intellect Tree Bio-Oil™
- BrainSpark™
- Acetyl-L-Tyrosine
- Centrophenoxine
- CDP Choline
- Piperine
- Guarana
- Curcumin
- Cayenne
- Magnesium Threonate
- Forskolin
- Habenaro
- Ester-C
- Chromium Picolinate
- Grapeseed Extract
- Vitamin D3
- Full-spectrum Vitamin B100 from naturally-derived sources
Nootopia’s Upbeat is one of the most powerful mood-lifting nootropics that makes a noticeable difference without causing anxiousness or nervousness. I don’t take it often, but each time I do I am pleasantly surprised.
Ultimate Focus
Ultimate Focus, (previously Focused Savagery), combines clinically proven doses of 21 natural yet strong ingredients and nootropic nutrients.
This is their crown jewel for maximum productivity. For the days when you need to become a machine and crank out work. As the name implies, to effortlessly tune out distractions for hours on end.
Drive and task accomplishing peak between 3-6 hours after swallowing the capsule, but the 6-10 hours of dopamine and GABA stimulation keep focus high.
I found the effects felt like an alternative to the smart drug modafinil (used off-label).
When I focused on the important stuff, I got a lot done. But a few distractions later, and I had cleaned the entire house, completed legal grunt work for Outliyr LLC, and gone down a few research rabbit holes.
Ultimate Focus helps me get more done than any other single nootropic. That’s productive ONLY if I’m able to remove all distractions.
Nootopia describes the benefits of Ultimate Focus as:
- Deep focus
- Major energy increases
- Hyper-productivity
- All-day motivation
- Easy creativity
The following ingredients provide your dopaminergic system with all the necessary raw materials, then gently instruct your brain to use the dopamine.
Potential ingredients in Ultimate Focus include:
- Intellect Tree Bio-Oil (custom nootropic distillate)
- BrainSpark (custom neuro-stimulant)
- Acetyl-L-Tyrosine
- Centrophenoxine
- CDP Choline
- Piperine
- Guarana
- Curcumin
- Cayenne
- Magnesium Threonate
- Forskolin
- Habanero
- Ester-C
- Chromium Picolinate
- Grapeseed Extract
- Vitamin D3
- Full-spectrum Vitamin B100 formulated from all-natural sources.
With my original Focused Savagery blend, I sometimes got a headache (I never get headaches). I reported that side effect and when they sent a new formula, my headaches disappeared.
Zamner Juice
Nootopia formulated the Zamner Juice spray to sustainably increase the production of dopamine, serotonin, and GABA. Leading to next-level vigor and insight.
This is their only liquid product.
I haven’t used it much, just because it doesn’t fit as nicely into my routine as the other products.
The bottle sits on my desk and I do use it for creative projects, brainstorming, and when I need to connect the dots to find unrecognized patterns. For curious cocktail party guests, Zamner Juice can be a great introduction to nootropics.
Nootopia describes the benefits of Zamner Juice as:
- Zen-like centeredness and deep calm
- Blissful state
- Greater love and connection with others
- Open-mindedness
- Social lubrication
- Better access to your senses
The formula itself contains many of the same base ingredients as the others.
Potential ingredients in Zamner Juice include:
- GABA
- Taurine
- ZMA
- Vitamin B6
- Theacrine
- Organic Watermelon
- Pineapple Fruit Extract
- Green Apple Fruit Extract
- Orange Juice Extract
- Magnesium Threonate
- L-Theanine
- Trimethylglycine
- Chromium Picolinate
- Ascorbic Acid
- DL-Phenylalanine
- L-Glutamine
- Calcium Citrate
- Pantothenic Acid (Vitamin B5)
I’m surprised to see Theacrine, a molecular cousin to caffeine, in a night-friendly nootropic product. Though I imagine the GABA, Taurine, ZMA, L-Theanine, and other ingredients would offset any sleep-disrupting effects of it.
I don’t notice much from Zamner Juice, but people swear by the zen-like calming (but non-sedating) state it induces. Great for socializing, calming nerves, or taking the edge off of a nootropic.
The Apex
The Apex works both in the acute by increasing oxygen concentration in the brain, and long-term by boosting neural stem cell growth. Nootopia designed this formula to support healthy neurotransmitter balance and hormone generation.
This balances the biochemical symphony occurring throughout the body. The Apex also delivers choline to the synapses. Making synapses fire faster and more effectively.
Nootopia describes the benefits of The Apex as:
- Experience optimal focus, creativity, and energy to dominate ALL
- High-level productivity
- Inspiration and creativity
- Increased physical resilience
- Inhibits activity between neurons, soothing your system, cleansing your energy, creating a state of calmness, energy, creativity, and focus
I took the one (huge) capsule in the morning and on an empty stomach, and 1.25 hours later, I barely felt anything.
Despite having a larger workload than normal, I did notice a slight calm and mental sharpness. A few sips of coffee later and boom… the effects magnified greatly.
Potential ingredients in The Apex include:
- Intellect Tree Bio-Oil (custom nootropic distillate)
- Saffron Crocus Oil (Saffron extract bonded to amino acid chelates for maximum absorption)
- BrainSpark (custom neuro-stimulant)
- Acetyl-L-Tyrosine
- Centrophenoxine
- CDP Choline
- Piperine
- Guarana
- Curcumin
- Cayenne
- Magnesium Threonate
- Forskolin
- Habenaro
- Ester-C
- Chromium Picolinate
- Grapeseed Extract
- Vitamin D3
Overall, The Apex is my least favorite standalone Nootopia product as I don’t feel much change. But it works well when paired with my Genius Coffee recipe, or their synergistic nootropic stacks.
GABAlicious
GABAlicious is a Nootopia product unlike the rest. Where most focus on generating energy and boosting cognitive processes via biomodulatory stimulation, this one increases levels of the inhibitory neurotransmitter GABA (hence the name). It works great to rapidly take the edge off jitters, stress, and anxiety (without zapping your energy or motivation).
I found that GABAlicious helped me drop into the highly desirable “flow state” quickly. I like this formula before big, important days that provoke nervousness. If I’ve been deliberating on important decisions, or want to retrain stress pathways associated with my previous failures, GABAlicious helps.
One of the main allures of booze (and many vices) is its GABA stimulation. This product doubles as an excellent healthy alcohol alternative because you get similar social inhibition without impairment. You might notice that unhealthy cravings subside.
Potential ingredients in GABAlicious include:
- Taurine
- GABA
- Magnesium Bisglycinate
- Vitamin B6 (optimal P-5-P form)
- Oxiracetam
- Aniracetam
- Theanine
- AquaSpark
I’m a huge fan of this ingredient synergy. Taurine, GABA, magnesium, and theanine gently and naturally stimulate relaxation (without sedation), while oxiracetam and aniracetam improve verbal fluency, social confidence, decision-making, neuroprotection, and more. In fact, I’ve been making my own DIY stack very similar to this for years.
GABAlicious is like a much stronger version of Zamner Juice—near instant relaxation, chill, and access to the highly coveted “flow state”. I use this as an alcohol alternative or to stop stress in its tracks (while maintaining my energy and productivity).
Note: as of mid-March 2023, although I hope this changes, GABAlicious is only available in future orders and not in your initial box.
CollaGenius
I wanted to include this product review here, although it does not currently come in the base Nootopia boxes. It’s available in their shop as an add-on to your order though.
Nootopia’s newest product has quickly become my go-to natural nootropic.
Though mushroom extracts generally feel smoother and lighter than manmade brain supplements, this is the exception.
Each dose of CollaGenius contains the equivalent of over 1.2 pounds of concentrated mushrooms:
- 50:1 Lion’s Mane
- 100:1 Chaga
- 100:1 Cordyceps
- 100:1 Reishi
Meaning that to produce each pound of Lion’s Mane mushroom extract, they had to use 50 pounds of raw mushroom.
Plus, the formula contains both bovine collagen and marine collagen.
Combining collagen with the micronutrients in the mushrooms “activates” the collagen and makes it more bioavailable. CollaGenius elevates BDNF (Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor) through the roof, giving you a surge of neuroplasticity. Boosting your learning and memory.
I like to mix it into my upgraded coffee (but it also goes well on its own or in a protein shake). Their extraction method brings out a chocolatey taste from the mushrooms.
For years I’ve regularly taken adaptogenic mushroom extract supplements and felt little to nothing.
About 15 minutes after taking CollaGenius, I felt a little boost. A smooth uptick in my energy, mental clarity, and faster thinking. CollaGenius is the strongest natural nootropic I’ve used, yet perfect for the absolute beginner. Giving both immediate and long-term effects.

Powerful Breakthrough Nootopia Stacks
Specific Nootropia products were made to be used together.
Combining two or more nootropics is called a “stack”. And in Nootopia’s case, they call theirs “Breakthrough Brain Stacks”.
Nootopia’s four Breakthrough Brain Stacks are like rocket fuel for the brain.
I’ve also noticed that they get more effective with time. Despite taking the same dose, around the 4th or 5th time, the effects become more pronounced.
Here’s the insider scoop for each.
Genius Activator
When you need instant yet long-lasting effects with overall faster information processing speed, choose Genius Activator. This is my go-to Nootopia stack. I use it far more than any of the others.
This stack improves:
- Focus
- Clarity
- Recall
- Brain agility
Genius Activator stacks 2 crowd favorites:
- Nectar X
- Brain Flow (or Upbeat)
You can take either first or even Nectar X and Upbeat together. I prefer the Nectar X + Brain Flow combo.
I actually followed instructions this time, and dosed half the Nectar X early in the morning. Over the next two hours, I slowly sipped the second half. At 11 AM, nearly 3 hours after finishing the Nectar, I popped a Brain Flow capsule.
Brain Flow took me up several notches. This was one of the strongest stacks I’ve ever tried. Like with most stimulants, I noticed pronounced activation of my sympathetic nervous system. I got the characteristic (but not uncomfortable) shallow breathing and tightness in my chest.
I debated whether to skip my coffee, but drank it… in the name of science.
Somehow, the coffee actually reduced the jitters I felt.
I had no trouble researching a post and writing over 5,000 words in one afternoon. Focus came easy. I got far more done than usual, and even enjoyed myself in the process. I usually get antsy while writing. Genius Activator amplified my Spotify playlist and I felt great throughout.
At 6 PM, I began the smooth and gentle come down. Now when I take Genius Activator, I cut back on my dosing.
With the stacks, it’s smart (maybe even “genius”, ha) to start especially conservatively.
Deep Work Support
The stack’s name gives away the core purpose of Deep Work. To thrive on HUGE high-stakes days. Days where performance cannot falter.
Deep Work keeps energy high, adds a touch of energy, and simultaneously shifts you into the apex state. Expect visionary motivation. Offsetting decision fatigue while preventing the end-of-day crash side effect common to stimulants.
Deep Work Support stacks two productivity powerhouses:
- Focused Savagery
- Upbeat
You can take them in any order, spaced by a few hours, or together. Nootopia even suggests the trifecta of Focused Savagery and Upbeat, combined with Brain Flow.
I chose to take Focused Savagery at 7:30 AM, and Upbeat at 11.
The key to success with this stack is to go in with a plan.
I started my Deep Work Support experience by coming up with the day’s list of ordered priorities. I put my devices on Do Not Disturb, and used the Toby Chrome plugin to save and close dozens of distracting open tabs.
Knowing how each of the products in this stack work, I decided to begin my day with Focused Savagery for a boost to my focus, motivation, and productivity. I popped the capsule, waited about 30 minutes, and started entering the zone. I became engrossed in my work, and only momentarily snapped out of it when I noticed the Savagery becoming intense.
Three and a half hours later, I took Upbeat for energy and a pleasant, almost euphoric mood lifting.
I capitalized on my elevated confidence to try new things. I recorded my first ever YouTube video, I mapped out my first course and book, and took big steps towards optimizing my online business.
After “eating the frog” and accomplishing all three of my day’s major outcomes, I knocked out each outstanding item on my TODO list. I stayed calm where these menial tasks usually annoy me.
Unlike most days where my resistance to producing content continuously builds, I stayed upbeat and joyful throughout the day.
Instead of trying to force outcomes, I let solutions come to me. By entering this Flow State, I accomplished three days worth of work.
Neuro Primer
Most nootropic formulas create noticeable effects. Or they restore your brain.
Neuro Primer takes it to the next level and puts you in the zone while actively rebuilding the brain at the same time.
Nootopia’s made this formula simultaneously build the brain (neurogenesis) and acutely increase performance. It’s an inoculation against stress-induced performance degradation.
This is perhaps the most sustainable nootropic I’ve come across that I also feel. They claim that it supports long-term performance by rejuvenating your neurotransmitters and potentially making your brain younger.
Nootopia calls this one “Performance on Demand” because it shortcuts the way into high-performance. A favorite leaders use to reinforce and effectively program the right neural pathways.
Nootopia’s Neuro Primer stacks:
- The Apex
- Brain Flow or Upbeat
My experience with Neuro Primer was decent. I took The Apex at 7:15 AM, and an hour later, while working out, I felt slight pressure behind my forehead. One of the chief side effects of the CILTEP stack among non-responders.
At 9:45 AM, I took Brain Flow. The internal head pressure subsided about 30 minutes later, and I began feeling good. I had a strong urge to multi-task. I resisted for a while and got a lot done. When I caved to the temptations, I managed to clear almost all of my Chrome tabs! No small feat.
Since it strongly reinforces whichever neural pathways you activate, I suggest you do what I didn’t. Close all distractions and only take it on days in which you’ll be doing and performing the things that matter most:
- Rapidly learning new skills
- Training your memory
- Overwriting bad habits
- Reprogramming faulty movement patterns
This one also potently suppressed my appetite. Despite working out, I had to force down lunch.
Social Command
Social Command pleasantly surprised me with a balance between improving my ability to think faster, and equally importantly, communicating those thoughts.
Nootopia designed this stack to improve recall and also speed up information transfer across brain hemispheres. Resulting in unparalleled ability to think logically and creatively at the same time.
Making it the ideal choice for persuasion, empathic connection (EQ), and to elevate your mood. I imagine this will become the favorite of salespeople, YouTubers, public speakers, digital marketers, or anyone constantly talking to others.
The Social Command stack combines:
- Power Solution
- Upbeat (and/or Brain Flow)
Unsurprisingly, I use it on days in which I’m recording videos, podcasting, or have a long string of high-stakes Zoom meetings.
When I use Social Command, I like to start the morning by chugging half of the Power Solution (after my electrolyte drink and morning sunlight walk). Two hours later, I’ll add an upgraded coffee. Then I’ll take the Upbeat an hour after lunch.
I find that adding Upbeat drastically boosts my energy and mood. So much so that I’ll often need to get outside and workout later in the afternoon. I look forward to coming back and sitting down to work. My thinking improves. I’m able to better extrapolate the research I review.
The content (video, written, audio) I create flows easier. In meetings and podcasts, I pick up on the nuances of speech that help me identify my counterparts’ underlying emotions.
I built a new internal tool at my day job, and Social Command helped my construct a more persuasive presentation. One that proactively answered managements’ questions, and appealed to Ethos, Pathos, and Logos.
Social Command became my unexpected favorite Nootopia stack.
Nootopia App
Nootopia’s app is a first-in-class brilliant idea to improve your nootropic experience.
Whether you’re a seasoned vet with a closet full of powders, pills, gels, and miscellaneous ingredients, or an absolute beginner — their app will help.
Upon downloading it, you’ll notice that it maps out your entire 30-day journey. Detailing:
- Background on each product
- Benefits and effects you can expect
- Dosing information
- Tips to optimize the effects
- Stackable synergistic products
- Rating and logging your experience
That last one is especially important.
After 30 days, you might forget how the products you took on Day 3 or Day 5 felt. Did you like them? Did they make you feel ‘meh’? Did you get 3X more done?
The Nootopia app makes it easy for you (and their team) to see which products worked best for you, and which to re-formulate or remove from future orders altogether.
You can rate the products and stacks for your own personal records, view your orders, or modify your subscription settings.
I expect that more personalized nootropics companies will follow suit and build apps like Nootopia.
Nootopia Price
There’s no sugar-coating it.
Nootopia nootropics are expensive. I have a hard time justifying $400 every month on these nootropics when I already have many of the core ingredients and make my own stacks.
Nootopia offers three product tiers:
- World Domination
- Focused Ferocity
- Brilliance on Demand
World Domination is the most expensive, but comes out to the lowest cost per dose. Focused Ferocity is the lower-cost option that also includes ALL Nootopia products. Brilliance on Demand is the cheapest, but doesn’t include Mental Reboot, Social Command, or Zamner Juice. Brilliance on Demand is the only one with a $14.95 shipping and handling fee.
I had sticker shock from even their cheapest Brilliance on Demand option. These aren’t cheap. Your dollars go towards R&D, and the hand-customization of each of your stacks. Here’s what the pricing looks like…
Nootopia Subscription 🔃 | Nootopia One-Time Purchase 🛒 | |
---|---|---|
World Domination | $297 | $399 |
Focused Ferocity | $225 | $299 |
Brilliance on Demand | $77 | $129 |
When I did the math, my Nootopia days came out to less than a large Starbucks. In addition to the potent and fun nootropics, I found the educational content alone worth it.
These guys really know nootropics well. Devour all the amazingly useful educational content.
If you have any questions or want individual help, I’ve had good experiences with their customer service.
Here’s my recommendation.
Give Focused Ferocity a try. Sign up for a subscription and use your Outliyr code URBAN to save 10% and capitalize on the lowest possible price.
Test the different formulas and find the ones you like. Find your minimum effective dose. I’ve found that a single Focused Ferocity box can easily last me two months.
Learn all you can, and after a month, go back into the app and review your log.
How much is double-productivity worth?
To me, it’s buying back time. Time that I can use to accelerate my growth, or to enjoy the rest of life.
I’m glad to have this secret stash in my pantry. I now save them for big days. When I need to be on my A-game, without any real comedown.
My Honest Nootopia Experience
I’ve tried just about everything.
A few great experiences, and many borderline scams.
From the get-go, I knew Nootopia does things right. Here are some of the things I want to highlight…
Customization. Their initial quiz nicely mixed information and inquiry into my goals. I see how they’d use those questions to actually customize my order. Some people wonder if nootropia really customizes your nootropics. I tried one of their “base” uncustomized formulas at a tradeshow. That Nectar X felt very different than mine. But the logistics wouldn’t make sense to actually personalize every single capsule. If I had to assume, I’d imagine that they have about five different formulas for each product and choose the right one based on your quiz results.
Structure. Nootopia did a good job structuring the 30-day trial process. You start by testing each product individually. Then stack them together. The Nootopia app simplified the entire process too. I can easily reflect on the effects of each product, and find which I liked most.
Education. Every morning I eagerly awaited their tips and tricks to get more bang out of my nootropics. The book was a quick read, with much of the same information in the emails. I’m also slowly working through the course.

Strength. The products themselves produce quite strong effects. I never wonder whether they work. My favorite way to use them is to combine one of the accelerants (Nectar X, Power Solution, etc) in the morning with a booster in the early afternoon. I really like the novelty of keeping the bottle of Zamner Juice on my desk for a quick boost anytime.
Uniqueness. I haven’t seen any other nootropic offering something like Mental Reboot. Mental Reboot gives you more impact from the same (or smaller) dose. Rather than suggesting you buy more of their products and larger Nootopia doses, showing this company’s integrity.
Testing. For consistency, I always took the primary nootropic first thing in the morning after hydrating and meditating. Generally, around 7 AM. I also combined them with my Genius Coffee recipe, which I typically drank between 9-10 AM. I logged effects as I noticed them throughout the day.
Ingredients. The base comprising most Nootopia formulas looks relatively similar. I found the ingredients list on each product confusing. Legally, they must include every potential ingredient they could put in your custom formula. Some of the things you see above will not be in yours. Because of this, you’re in the dark about what you’re consuming and the doses of each. Logistically, I understand the limitations of custom printing each box. But it’d be nice if the app or something included more about my precise formulations. Perhaps I’ll reach out to their Support for help understanding this.
This is how I’d summarize my experience.

Compared to Other Nootropic Supplements
If you’ve made it this far, you might wonder how Nootopia stacks up to its competition.
I’ve extensively researched and tried the best Nootopia alternatives. This is how I’d compare and contrast them.
Nootopia vs Qualia Mind
Qualia Mind is one of the oldest and most popular systems-based nootropics. It optimizes all the common brain pathways needed for maximum performance. Nootopia is a personalized nootropics company, that designs formulas specific to your unique neurochemistry.
Qualia is the best single nootropic for the masses, but Nootopia is best to support and optimize your brain and body. You can also take a different Nootopia product or stack to achieve particular outcomes (Energy, Motivation, Productivity, etc).
Nootopia vs Take Thesis (previously Find My Formula)
Both Nootopia and Take Thesis customize nootropic formulas to your brain. Nootopia has a better ingredient profile and adjusts the ingredients AND dosages based on your needs. They also provide educational content and the best possible user experience. All this comes at a higher cost.
Thesis recommends products based on your answers to a survey, and then you work with one of their FREE Brain Experts to customize your orders. There’s less personalization, but you get help from a real human and a lower price.
Thesis is the better-value nootropic (read my Thesis review), and Nootopia is the higher-quality nootropic.
Nootopia vs Mind Lab Pro
Nootopia and Mind Lab Pro are very different products. Mind Lab Pro has sold over 1 million bottles of their scientifically validated V4.0. The ingredients are simple and basic. Though Mind Lab Pro appears cheaper, you’re mostly paying for the marketing. You get far less and fewer ingredients.
Nootopia hand-customizes each order to your goals, lifestyle, and personality. Nootopia teaches you how to optimize your nootropics and lifestyle to get the best possible value. They use the highest-quality, rare forms of ingredients for maximum effects.
Mind Lab Pro is a mild and generic nootropic, while Nootopia is stronger and customized to upgrading your neurochemistry.
Tips to Upgrade The Benefits & Value of Your Nootopia Nootropics
Nootropics aren’t cheap.
You can skip this entire section, but these tips will help ensure that you get the most out of your experience.
Caffeine-free. If you’re new to nootropics, start with the non-caffeinated versions. I drink coffee most days. Sometimes two cups. But I always get my nootropics caffeine-free. For several reasons. First, nootropics potentiate caffeine. One coffee can feel like 3. If you’re not used to the combo, going caff-free gives you more control. Caff-free also means that I can take nootropics later in the day. Also, the health benefits of coffee don’t come from caffeine but from the polyphenols, flavonoids, and other phytochemicals. Plus, I just like the taste of coffee.
DNA decoded. Every human has profound uniquenesses. Even more so, in the brain. My favorite ingredients might give you migraines, and vice-versa. By taking a ~$50 once-in-a-lifetime test and running it through the powerful SelfDecode genetic software, you can easily understand your neurodiversity. To figure out what will work for your brain specifically. Without wasting time, energy, and money on ineffective (or even harmful) nootropics.
Optimal fuel. Nootropics love dietary fat. Certain fats, like a special extract of coconut called C8 MCT Oil, deliver some compounds into the brain more effectively. It also slows their absorption and metabolism. Resulting in a smoother and stronger nootropic experience (with even less crash).
Avoid kryptonite. If fat is a nootropic’s best friend, protein is the enemy. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge advocate for consuming protein and aminos (especially essential amino acids). These aminos, however, compete with nootropics for absorption. If taken too close together, protein can reduce the effects you feel. A rule of thumb is to take nootropics at least 1 hour before eating or wait one hour after.
Optimize recovery. Nootropics are like the gas pedal for your brain. If you don’t recover (while sleeping), eventually you’ll burn out and they’ll lose their charm. There are many ways to improve your recovery. First, increase your sleep time and quality. Your brain needs some extra downtime to compensate for working so hard. Next, feed it the right nutrients. I feel a pronounced difference when I take Shilajit and Magnesium with my nootropics. I’m able to cut back my dose and still feel stronger effects.

I would say an absolutely massive downside is not knowing the dosage of the ingredients. I will never be taking anything like that and don’t think people should. On top of that, their website is in that awful scam website format full of big claims.
Totally agree with you. Those are my chief complaints with Nootopia. I get that they cannot possibly print out custom labels with different ingredients and dosages for every order. But it should be included in the app or as a package insert. And yes, I’m not a fan of the sales pages either.
